Do you want to reduce or eliminate the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, or uneven pigmentation?
If your answer is yes then we have the solution for you. The chemical peel is one of the oldest procedures in the world, and was performed in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome to help people achieve smoother, more beautiful skin.
Today, chemical facial peels are popular because they offer nearly immediate results and can be performed as an outpatient procedure.
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel is a treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin.
Typically administered as a facial peel, a chemical peel enhances and smoothes the texture of the skin.
Why Should I use it?
It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles, uneven skin pigmentation, and melasma.
Would it be good for me?
Generally patients with fair skin and light hair are the best candidates for chemical peels. But the good news is our newest chemical peel The PRESTIGE PEEL was professionally developed for a broad spectrum of skin conditions for all Fitzpatrick Skin Classifications!
How does it really work?
The PRESTIGE PEEL provides controlled exfoliation of the epidermis and the superficial portion of the dermis (upper reticular dermis) producing significant improvements in acne, actinic keratosis, scars, fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, hyper pigmentation, freckling, and melasma.
The PRESTIGE PEEL affords consistent, predictable results with minimal to no “down time”. Outcomes go far beyond what can be achieved with superficial peels. Although one PRESTIGE PEEL can achieve a desired effect in many patients, a series of treatments may be needed to optimize results.

Why wouldn't I use this?
You should not use a chemical peel if you have any of the following:
- Active cold sores or warts in the area to be treated
- Wounded, sunburned, excessively sensitive skin
- Dermatitis and inflammatory rosacea
- Accutane use within the last 3 months
- Recent history of chemotherapy or radiation therapy
- Allergies to any ingredient in this treatment
- Pregnancy or active breastfeeding
- Patients with compromised immune system
Other Considerations
Patients with a history of Herpes Simplex should begin antiviral therapy prior to the peel and continue for 3 or 4 days. This will decrease the chances of an outbreak that could potentially lead to scarring.
One week before chemical peel patients should avoid the following products and/or procedures: electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, laser hair removal.
Patients who have had cosmetic procedures (e.g. laser therapy, light therapy, surgical procedures, fillers, microdermabrasion, etc.) should wait until skin sensitivity completely resolves before receiving treatment. The use of these products/treatments prior to your peel may increase skin sensitivity and cause a stronger reaction.
What can you expect during and after a chemical peel?
While the peel is being applied you can expect a mild to intense burning/tingling sensation that will subside after a few minutes.
Once the chemical peel has been applied your skin may look tight and shiny.
The second day your skin will usually look flawless, skin is tight and pores are refined.
By the third day you should start to peel around the mouth and chin where you experience the most facial movement.
You can expect to peel through day five and generally you are done peeling by day five if not before.
You should always let the skin peel naturally; picking or assisting peel could result in hyper-pigmentation (brown spots) or hypo- pigmentation (loss of pigment in the skin) which is irreversible.
Most importantly you should always wear sunscreen!
Physical sunscreens are great for post procedures because they do not contain harsh chemicals and are gentle on the skin.
How to get Started.
Before undergoing a chemical peel for the first time, patients often have many questions and concerns and it is always a good idea to have a consultation with a doctor or licensed esthetician beforehand.
